So we arrive in Byron Bay for christmas eve. Our hostel Nomads known for being a party hostel - and it lived up to its name!!!

We signed up to have a shared christmas eve dinner with the hostel... was nice chance to get chatting to people and join in the festivities (as up to now not really feeling like christmas at all)....

And to really make our day - shark attack in the sea - everyone out of the water....

So we kinda had a half traditional dinner, cold meats, hot meats and salad (turkey, ham, chicken and sausages)....

After a few glasses of GOON (yum) and a sleep on the beech, a time for relaxing in the hostel jaccuzi..

That evening we followd the crowd down the the beach for a party...

The weather Boxing Day was a different story, raining, grey and overcast...
However it brightened up later on so that could take an eveing stroll past the surfers, to the lighthouse and Austrailia's most eastern point...

Christmas is completely different in Aus. Apart from the weather, the build up is very small and boxing day was just another day!! As much as i love the hot climate, I dont think you can beat a cold, snowy, English Christmas!!!
